At approximately 2:38 a.m. this morning, Tuesday, November 24, 2015, Beaumont firefighters responded to a 911 call that was received reporting smoke coming from the Super Food Store, located at 1410 West Virginia. Once on scene, firefighters had to force entry to security panels on the exterior of the building. They entered the building and found heavy fire and smoke conditions in the interior of the building.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2015, Beaumont Fire Rescue firefighters responded to a structure fire at 3150 Cleveland. According to Captain Brad Penisson of the Beaumont Fire Department, when firefighters arrived, they found the rear portion of the home engulfed in flames. The occupants of the residence were able to escape without injury before firefighters arrived.

Beaumont Fire Rescue has deployed members of its Wildland Firefighting Team to the Bastrop area to assist the Texas Forest Service on the wildland fires there. Three firefighters left the afternoon of Oct. 14 with the wildland fire truck to be a part of a strike team once they arrive. They may be deployed for a period of 10 to 14 days before being released.

On Sunday, September 27, 2015, in the wee hours of the morning, Beaumont firefighters were dispatched to two separate fires that may have been related.

At 3:41 a.m., the Beaumont Fire Department received a report of a building on fire at 410 Winfield. While at this location, fire dispatchers received a 911 call reporting another fire at 1208 Gilbert. Other units were dispatched to this location and were able to bring the flames under control within a few minutes.

Investigators believe a malfunctioning air conditioner is responsible for a fire Sunday afternoon, Beaumont Fire Rescue reports.

Two structure fires within mere minutes of each other kept fire units busy in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 21, the Beaumont Fire Department reports. One of those incidents could have proven fatal for a Beaumont citizen had firefighters not arrived when they did, according to a news release.

Beaumont firefighters doused a local residential fire on Thursday, March 13, but not before the home suffered significant structural damage.
