Just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, a call was received reporting a child had been burned at 8110 Quail Hollow. Beaumont Fire Rescue, Beaumont EMS and Beaumont Police units responded. When they arrived, they found that a 2-year-old child had knocked a pot of boiling water off the stove and suffered severe burns to his chest and both arms. Air Rescue was called to the scene. Beaumont EMS treated the child while Beaumont firefighters set up a landing zone in a vacant lot nearby. Beaumont Police officers were investigating the circumstances of the injury.

At approximately 9:10 a.m., Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a reported apartment fire at 5080 Helbig Rd. There were multiple calls reporting the fire, and when firefighters arrived, they found the living room on fire in one apartment and it was quickly extinguished.

Beaumont firefighters battled an early morning structure fire in the 1600 block of Corley Street at about 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 16, reports Beaumont Fire and Rescue.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., Beaumont Fire Rescue received multiple calls reporting a structure fire at 5380 Margo, near Beaumont Drive, off of Concord. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire conditions with flames coming out several openings. According to a press release, the occupant, Everett Abbott, 72, was able to escape before firefighters arrived but he was severely burned with first and second degree burns to his upper body.

Just before 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 11, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a reported structure fire at 3191 Tracy Ave., near Pope St. According to a press release, when firefighters arrived, they found flames visible from a rear window of the home. Firefighters were able to make a quick offensive attack and contain the fire to one bedroom but there was smoke damage to the rest of the house. No one was home at the time of the fire.

At approximately 1 a.m., Oct. 14, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a reported structure fire at 4080 Ector. According to a press release, when Firefighters arrived, they found the kitchen of the home on fire. Firefighters were able to contain the fire damage to the kitchen area but there was smoke damage throughout the house.

On Oct. 3, at approximately 11 p.m., Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a reported structure fire at 3850 Houston Street.  According to a press release, when firefighters arrived they found the home heavily involved with fire. No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. The home was heavily damaged by the fire and a house next door also suffered some damage. Evidence at the scene indicates the fire was deliberately set, and an investigation is ongoing.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m. on August 14, Beaumont Fire Rescue units responded to a reported structure fire at 1303 Johns Street. According to a press release, when firefighters arrived, they found a vacant dwelling heavily involved with fire. Firefighters made a defensive attack and controlled the fire within 20 minutes.
