Vehicle flooding ends in rescue

The morning of Sept. 3, just before 6 a.m., Beaumont Fire and Beaumont Police responded to a person in distress at 4th and Crockett. Upon arrival, crew discovered a vehicle in the flooded underpass with a person inside. Through quick actions of both agencies, the occupant was rescued just prior to vehicle submerging. The occupant sustained minor injuries and was released.

Family dog rescued from house fire

Ginger, a 3- to 4-year-old pit bull, is in high spirits after being rescued by Beaumont Fire-Rescue from a house fire and revived.

According to a statement, on Monday, June 26, Beaumont Fire-Rescue responded to multiple calls of a house on fire in the 1300 block of Evalon. Fire department crews arrived within three minutes of the first 911 call.

Beaumont Fire Rescue responds to apartment fire

Beaumont Fire Rescue responded to a fire in the Hamlet Park apartments on Crow Road the morning of Tuesday, June 5.

Scott Wheat, A Beaumont District Fire Chief, explained that it appeared to be an accidental fire out of the kitchen and the occupants were not at home. The incident left no injuries, however the occupants did lose a pet.
