On Jan. 31, at 11:45 p.m., a Beaumont Police officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the 4600 block of Harding Drive. The driver of the vehicle fled from police and drove into an apartment complex in the 5000 block of Helbig Road, BPD PIO Haley Morrow reported.

On January 30, at about 1:30 a.m., a Beaumont Police officer was traveling east in the 2500 block of Sweetgum Lane, en route to a call, BPD PIO Haley Morrow reported. A black Honda Civic was also traveling westbound in the 2500 block of Sweetgum Lane.

On Jan. 28, at about 12:50 a.m., Beaumont Police officers responded to Baptist Hospital, 3080 College Street, in reference to a victim of a stabbing, BPD PIO Haley Morrow reported.

On Jan. 27, at about 1:15 p.m., Beaumont Police Department detectives with the narcotics unit executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence in the 3800 block of West Lynwood, BPD PIO Haley Morrow reported.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 11:26 a.m., Beaumont Police officers responded to Majestic Diamonds, located at 185 Dowlen Road, in reference to an aggravated robbery, BPD PIO Carol Riley reported.

The first suspect entered the store and asked to look at some diamonds. Two additional suspects then entered, displaying pistols, and demanded the cash from the register. They demanded the jewelry and threw a bag at the owner. The owner ran into the back of the store, his dog barked and the suspects ran out and around the side of the building.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 11:26 a.m., Beaumont Police officers responded to Majestic Diamonds, located at 185 Dowlen Road, in reference to an aggravated robbery, BPD PIO Carol Riley reported.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, at about 7:30 p.m., an Beaumont Police officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of Fannett Road and St. James Boulevard, BPD PIO Haley Morrow reported Jan. 25.

A Richmond, Texas man wanted on charges of continuous aggravated sexual assault died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after being stopped by officers at the Travel Inn at 2690 Interstate 10 East in Beaumont following a vehicular pursuit of the armed suspect, reports Beaumont Police Department (BPD) Sgt. Cody Guedry.

On Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 2:45 p.m., Beaumont Police Department Special Assignment Unit officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of 10th Street, BPD PIO Haley Morrow reported.

Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 6:27 p.m., officers responded to The Anchor Church, at 6655 Highway 105, in reference to a male who stated he’d been shot in the face, Officer Carol Riley reported.

The subject, a 26-year-old Port Arthur man, had what appeared to be a single, small-caliber gunshot wound to his face. He told officers he was at theapartments on Alpine Circle when the incident occurred. He was transported by Beaumont EMS to St. Elizabeth's Hospital.
