The Beaumont Police Department invites the public to attend their upcoming Cops and Kids Carnival on the Great Lawn at the Crockett Street Event Centre, 700 Crockett St., in Beaumont on April 18 and promises enjoyment for children, young and old.

According to BPD, the carnival, meant to allow local children to interact with local law enforcers in a positive environment, will feature food, fun, games and prizes. Admission is free, and the event is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., so come early!
