Beaumont Police responded to a reported robbery at the Family Dollar Store located at 1005 Washington Blvd. Wednesday night, Sept. 17 in Beaumont's South End.

At about 9:40 p.m., police arrived and spoke to the store's clerk, who told officers that a man entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the store on foot. Employees last saw the robber running westbound on Euclid Street behind the store.

Patrol officers quickly apprehended three suspects in a reported early morning robbery on June 21, according to a news release from the Beaumont Police Department.  According to the release, at about 4:35 a.m., a complainant phoned the 911 Communications Center to report that several men had just assaulted him and stole his vehicle.

A driver of a 2005 black Toyota Corolla crashed into a metal utility pole separating it from its base near the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Oakland in Beaumont around 11 a.m. Friday morning, Sept. 6. According to Sgt. Robert Flores of the Beaumont Police Department, the man was headed northbound on MLK, veered across the southbound lane and struck the pole, knocking it down.
