Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015 at 10:38 a.m., police officers responded to a disturbance at Candyland Auto Sales, 1163 S. 11th St. in Beaumont. The caller told dispatchers that Robert Charles Broussard was in the office throwing things and behaving irrationally.

The Crime Stoppers Larry Beaulieu Scholarship Presentation Ceremony will be this Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the Beaumont Police Station training room. 

The scholarship was created to support the education and development of sons and daughters of area law enforcement officers and to honor the visionary leadership of the agency's founding chairman, Mr. Larry Beaulieu.

Beaumont Police Department patrol officers taking a report in the 1400 block of Roberts Street on April 22 had to stop what they were doing and immediately investigate when they heard shots fired from a nearby neighborhood park, reports BPD.

Beaumont police officers responded to a major crash at I 10 over MLK Parkway in the early morning of Feb. 25. According to a press release, upon arrival at 12: 32 a.m. officers observed a silver Honda Accord under the box trailer of an 18 wheeler. The 22-year-old female driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be removed with the fire department’s assistance and transported by EMS to the hospital.

A 6-month-old boy and his two sisters, ages three and four, were placed in custody of a relative by Child Protective Services on Friday, Feb. 6 after a witness called police in reference to small children being left in a car. At approximately 9:46 p.m. Beaumont Police Officers responded to 4255 Crow Rd, and was told by a tenant that he heard a baby crying inside the vehicle when he arrived around 9:43. He advised that he went into his apartment and told a relative.
