An early morning single-vehicle accident in Beaumont killed two men and sent one woman to the hospital.

Sunday, Nov. 16, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Beaumont Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of MLK Parkway northbound in reference to an automobile accident, a press release by BPD states. Upon arrival, officers located a female in the roadway who told officers that her friends, a male driver and passenger, were on the ground and needed help.

A single-car crash Sunday, Nov. 2 claimed the life of a 68-year-old Jefferson County resident.

Detectives are attempting to sort through sketchy details in a shooting that left one man injured Halloween night.

At about 9:47 p.m., officers responded to the Baptist Hospital Emergency Room in reference to a victim of a shooting. Doctors were treating a 17-year-old Beaumont man for a gunshot wound to his upper left arm. Doctors expected to treat and release the man.

Two Beaumont men have been charged with burglary of a building for what police say is yet another copper theft in Beaumont.

Thursday, Sept. 25, at 12:09 p.m., officers responded to 216 Liberty, (a vacant building) in reference to a burglary in progress. A witness observed a black male and a white male entering the building through a broken window, on the north side of the business in the alley way, a press release by Beaumont Police states.

Beaumont Police believe they have found the men responsible for a string of more than 70 Beaumont metal thefts.

Beaumont Police responded to a reported robbery at the Family Dollar Store located at 1005 Washington Blvd. Wednesday night, Sept. 17 in Beaumont's South End.

At about 9:40 p.m., police arrived and spoke to the store's clerk, who told officers that a man entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the store on foot. Employees last saw the robber running westbound on Euclid Street behind the store.
