Donald Olivier, a 72-year-old Vidor man was killed the morning of Thursday, Nov. 1 after being by hit by a white Hyundai SUV travelling south on 11thStreet when it moved to the center lane to make a left turn on to Broadway, according to preliminary investigations by Beaumont Police. Beaumont EMS transported Olivier to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Damon Winters

Damon Winters, a 40-year-old Beaumont man, allegedly shot his stepson the early morning of Friday, Oct. 26. According to Beaumont Police Officer Haley Morrow, at 1:29 a.m. Beaumont Police responded to a residence in the 800 block of Woodrow in reference to a victim of a shooting. Preliminary investigation has revealed that Winters and his 20-year-old stepson had a verbal altercation that turned physical, resulting in Winters shooting his stepson. Winters spoke with Detectives before being placed under arrest for aggravated assault- family violence.

Herbert Wayne Collins, a 38-year-old Beaumont man, was arrested as a suspect in the murder of 29-year-old Bradison Allen Mims near the corner of North and Ewing on Tuesday, Oct. 16. 

According to BPD, on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 2:41 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Ewing in reference a victim of a shooting.  Upon arrival officers discovered Mims who had been shot several times. Collins was picked up the same day in the 2400 block of Delaware around 4:30 p.m.

Beaumont Police are investigating a homicide of 29-year-old Bradison Allen Mims near the corner of North and Ewing Tuesday, Oct. 16, according to Beaumont Police. Beaumont Police received the call around 2:52 p.m.

Dashman Crossley

Beaumont Police Department released a statemnt informing that Dashman Crossley is in custody. Officers arrested him October 15 around 9:00 p.m.  in the 200 block of Dowlen for his parole warrant with aggravated assault charges pending.

Davis Walters

According to Officer Haley Morrow with the Beaumont Police Department, on Sunday, September 30 at 12:16 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to a disturbance at 3155 French Rd. While Officers were in route, dispatch advised that the suspect, later identified as Davis Walters (a 36-year-old Beaumont resident. Pictured below) was stabbing the victim in the parking lot. As officers arrived, they observed the suspect attempting to leave in a vehicle. Walters was taken into custody at the scene. Beaumont EMS responded and pronounced the victim, 23-year-old Kiana Joubert, deceased.

Beaumont Police responded to a call in reference to a victim of a shooting at Ave. B and Roberts, near Roberts Park the night of Tuesday, Sept. 25.

BPD told the Examiner that the victim did not want to cooperate with the investigation.

A major traffic crash on I-10 westbound at mile marker 846 involving eight vehicles, including an 18-wheeler, resulted in the death of one adult and three children the morning of Thursday, Sept. 20. 

According to a press release from Beaumont Police Department, officers responded to a major traffic crash on I-10 westbound at mile marker 846 (near South Major Drive) at 6:25 a.m. The crash involved an 18-wheeler and seven other passenger vehicles with multiple occupants. It was reported that several vehicles were on fire.

Steven Hemingway

SWAT arrived at a residence in the 9100 block of Landis after Steven Hemingway, a 36-year-old Beaumont resident, allegedly barricaded himself inside a residence with two children, aged 6 months and 6 years old, who were taken to a local hospital after release, though no injuries were reported at this time.
