On Oct. 20, the Galveston Police Department located the body of a male child on the sand near the surf in the 700 block of Seawall Blvd when responding to a 911 call, the department said in a Facebook post.

Aug. 2 at about 1:30 p.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of Highway 12 and Creek Road in Starks after a parish worker found the body of a man in the woods.

The body has been identified as Dustin R. Hammons, 22, of Houston.

The investigation has revealed Hammons suffered trauma, so his death is being ruled a homicide. The cause and manner of death are pending the coroner’s investigation.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2017, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding body found on the beach near Gulf Port Village subdivision in Crystal Beach, Texas, Sheriff Henry Trochesset said in a release.

Beaumont Detectives have released the identity of the body found Oct. 31 inside an exhaust fan at the Beaumont Rice Mills, in the 1800 block of Pecos Road near MLK and Calder. The man is Louis Stevens, a 47 year old Beaumont resident, BPD PIO Haley Morrow said in a statement.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has identified the body discovered by the U.S. Coast Guard on Monday, Feb. 3, as 35-year-old Chris Reich, who was last seen on Jan. 17, 2014. The reported cause of death, according to a Jefferson County Sheriff's Office press release, is drowning.
