Police in Beaumont arrested a man who they say stabbed one person and choked his pregnant wife at a local motel in the early morning hours of Aug. 6.

Beaumont police arrested two suspects who allegedly tried to cash a forged check at Sam's Package Store, and subsequently found all the materials necessary for the couple to continue the con inside their vehicle.

Walgreens at 3990 E. Lucas was robbed July 19 in what seems to be a long string of crimes by at least 12 suspects.

Friday, June 29, at 10:52 p.m. Beaumont police received a call from Baptist hospital on College Street in reference to victim of a shooting who had just been dropped off. The driver of the vehicle that transported the victim was seen hiding items in the hospital parking lot. Officers quickly located the vehicle and detained two occupants.

Two teens are in police custody for after allegedly being caught "carhopping" in the early morning hours of June 22, reports Officer Carol Riley of the Beaumont Police Department.

Jakarius Wilson

Wednesday, June 13, at 3:55 a.m., a Beaumont police officer was patrolling the 2300 block of North 21st Street when he saw two males burglarizing a white Dodge Ram pickup truck. Both males attempted to flee but the officer was able to catch Jakarius Wilson, a 17-year-old Beaumont resident. The second male was not apprehended. He is a black male, approximately 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds. He was wearing red shorts and may go by the name “Trey.”

Jakarius was transported to Jefferson County Jail and booked in for burglary of a vehicle.

On April 26 and May 10, two devices were discovered by the Beaumont Police Department; the second device caused damage at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. Beaumont police arrested a local man for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend as she was packing up to move out of their shared home and then striking his own sister who stepped in to try to help the other victim, reports Officer Carol Riley.

Friday, March 23, at 11:33 p.m., officers responded to the 4100 block of Jeanette in reference to a robbery. The victim told officers an unknown juvenile approached her and displayed a firearm. The juvenile demanded the victim’s black, 2017 Hyundai Sonata.  The suspect took the vehicle and fled the area.

Sunday, Jan. 21, at 8:26 am, Beaumont police officers observed a 2004 Cadillac Escalade make traffic violations in the 3200 block of Laurel Street. Officers stopped the vehicle in the area of Calder and IH-10. The driver, Tyllher Moore, a 31-year-old Beaumont man, and the passenger, Terry Warren, a 33-year-old Port Arthur man, were in the vehicle and in possession of over 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana.

Both males were transported to Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
