On April 24, at about 8:00 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a home on Samuel Johnson Road in Starks in reference to a burglary.

On April 4, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call at a local hospital in reference to cruelty to a juvenile, according to a release.

On April 7, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a local business in Lake Charles regarding an employee that was stealing from the company, according to a release.

On Dec. 14, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding Leon Price, Jr., 45, of DeQuincy, having inappropriate sexual contact with an 11 year old girl, who was a family acquaintance, according to a release.

On March 23, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding a local high school teacher, Raymond P. Johnson, 31, Lake Charles, inappropriately touching one of his students on numerous occasions in May 2015 when the boy was 15 years old. The victim advised detectives that the inappropriate contact occurred when they were alone in the classroom.

April 4, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding Charles Lee Fontenot, 34, DeQuincy, having sexually assaulted a 12 year old female family member, according to a release.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Unit arrested convicted registered sex offender Joseph W. Goodwin, 46, Lake Charles, after it was learned he was no longer living at his registered address and failed to notify the proper authorities within three days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders, the department said in an April 5 release.

On March 31 at about 3:40 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress at a home on North Ledoux Road in Lake Charles, the department posted on their Facebook page April 3.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) received a complaint in October 2016 that Jason Miller, 42, of Lake Charles, had sexually assaulted a family member, sometime between 2009 and 2010 when the victim was 6 years old, the department posted on their Facebook page.
