The all-day event showcased the latest in health and wellness and culminated in a champagne toast and diamond giveaway to one lucky attendee.

The Christus Live Well Women’s Conference drew an attendance of 2,000 people Thursday, May 12. This is the largest attendance number in conference history, according to Christus Southeast Texas Health System Marketing & Events Coordinator Becky Howard.

Registration opened Tuesday, March 29, for the ninth annual Christus LiveWell Women’s Conference. The theme of this year’s conference is “Living Well,” which is all about encouraging women to take charge of their lives and health to create balance and happiness in their lives.

Around 500 women attended Christus’ Jasper Women’s Expo on Friday, Feb. 5, at Harvest Church in Jasper. The event brought together women from all over East and Southeast Texas to learn about and celebrate ways to achieve a lifetime of wellness.

Attendees had an opportunity to meet keynote speaker Lisa Whelchel, best known for her appearances as a Mouseketeer on The New Mickey Mouse Club and her nine-year role as the preppy and wealthy Blair Warner on The Facts of Life and an appearance on Season 25 of CBS’s Survivor: Philippines.

Christus-Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth has introduce its second da Vinci Surgical Robotic System to the hospital system. The robot, however, still needs a name. St. Elizabeth invites community members to submit name suggestions for the system’s newest surgical robot. The winner will receive a brand new Apple Watch. The contest is open to the public, and contestants under 18 must have parent or guardian’s permission to enter.
