Effective May 25, 6th Street from Calder Avenue to McFaddin Avenue will be closed until further notice for emergency street repairs.

Motorists are asked to be aware of all signs, advance warnings including other signage, and travel with caution.

UPDATE: The City issued a boil water advisory notice May 26 for customers affected by the 11th Street valve replacement project. Water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, customers may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

On Tuesday, May 2, with unanimous approval, the Beaumont City Council authorized the issuance of Water Revenue Bonds in the amount of $21 million for citywide water and sewer improvements. Water Revenue Bonds allow the City to borrow money, which is then repaid with revenue it receives from its water and sewer customers.
