Constable Earl White

New Beaumont fire chief Earl White addressed City Council.

The city of Beaumont selected retired firefighter and Pct. 1 Constable Earl White as its new fire chief during a City Council meeting April 24. White was selected as the top choice out of more than 80 applicants.

White retired from Beaumont Fire-Rescue after 35 years of service to the community as a firefighter and arson investigator, and he then continued to serve Southeast Texas in another capacity. White took the oath of office as the Pct. 1 constable in March 2016 shortly after his win in the Democratic primary.
