Turnpike Troubadours

From Oklahoma, the Turnpike Troubadours will perform at the Dixie Dance Hall on Crockett Street on Thursday, March 20, with doors opening at 7 p.m. for ages 18 years and older.

Touring in support of their third album, Goodbye Normal Street, which reached No. 14 on the Billboard country chart, the Turnpike Troubadours name is derived from the bumpy Oklahoma toll roads and their hard living, folk singing heroes.

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony

For the first time ever, Grammy Award winning rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony will perform in Southeast Texas at the Dixie Dance Hall in downtown Beaumont on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 plus service charges and can be purchased at area Florida Tans, the Dixie and online at frontgatetickets.com. From Cleveland, Ohio, BTNH were signed by the late Eazy E in 1993 on Ruthless Records and released E.

The Dixie Dance Hall on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont has quite a history. The building once housed the notorious Dixie Hotel where Madam Rita Ainsworth ran her brothel, and now, the historic country saloon is about to get a rock music makeover — at least for a night.
