If you’re looking for a new snuggle buddy, here she is! This is Josie, and the folks at Beaumont Animal Services think she just might be the sweetest, most loving dog ever! She is a very laid back girl and would love to spend her days watching the world go by. She is very friendly with people and other dogs. She would likely do fabulously well in a home with children. Josie is around 6-7 months old. No. 29119.

Bennett has been waiting to be adopted for almost a month! Can you believe that!?

He is around 5 months old and weighs 28 pounds. Prior to adoption all animals are fully vaccinated and spayed/neutered.

Call (409) 838-3304 or stop by the shelter at 1884 Pine St. in Beaumont for more information. Bennett, No. 29175

Jaxson, a handsome, friendly male weighing about 44 pounds, knows some commands. He’s a very playful dog and loves to get belly rubs, as you can see. He can walk on a leash very well and strut his good looks. An assertive dog, he can be a little picky about who he wants to be doggie friends with. He’s the best of both worlds, with the energy of a boxer and a big ol’ bucket of love like a pitty. Jaxson No. 29014

When the Beaumont City Council approved changes to animal care ordinances Jan. 31, they also approved an increase in the length of time between pets' rabies vaccinations, meaning instead of being good for just one year, the vaccinations would be valid for three years.

Izzy

I’m Izzy, a 6-year-old spayed female Lab mix. I didn’t think my life would turn out like this, sitting in a shelter, sharing a kennel with a stranger. I was in a home when I was younger. I was loved by the family and was very happy. I am gentle, get along with other animals and children. I am housebroken and have gone to obedience school! My only fault is I take thyroid meds … and what lady my age doesn’t? I don’t understand why my family left me here.

Hi, Guys! Aren’t my eyes hypnotizing? My name is Zorro and I’m a shepherd/Lab mix who is about 2 years old. I love to play with toys and run around with my doggie friends. I’d love a home with children, but I can be a little clumsy, so bigger kids would be best. If you are interested in me, please contact BAS and ask for me Zorro, No. 27896.

Maximus, a young male blue heeler approximately 1 1/2 years old, is available for adoption. He’s current on all his vaccinations and neutered. Blue heelers are working dogs, so he’ll need a big yard or, even better, a ranch or farm setting. Heelers are herding dogs, so homes with young children are not recommended. Maximus is alert and watchful and would be a great guardian for people and property.
