A Canadian citizen was arrested with $3 million of cocaine just inside the Louisiana border on I-10, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

A China man was indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury Nov. 15 for meth found during a traffic stop, according to court documents.

A 35-year-old Houston man has pleaded guilty to federal drug trafficking violations in the Eastern District of Texas, Acting U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston announced Oct. 18.

Jeffrey Clive Arnold pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine before U.S. Magistrate Judge Keith Giblin.

Oct. 18 at 8:40 a.m., the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and SWAT conducted a search warrant in the 3100 block of Thomas Boulevard in Port Arthur, Capt. Crystal Holmes said in a release.

By conducting surveillance and making undercover narcotics buys from people inside the home, a search warrant was obtained.

Sept. 27 around 3 p.m., the Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force conducted a traffic stop in Groves, Capt. Crystal Holmes said in a release. It was discovered that the driver, Evelyn Odom, 44, from Nederland had outstanding warrants and was driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Sept. 27 at 7:20 p.m., Jefferson County Narcotics Officers served a narcotics search warrant at in the 300 block of South 4th Street in Nederland, a house has been a continued nuisance to the community, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Capt. Crystal Holmes said in a release.

Sheriff Brian C. Hawthorne reports that on June 20, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Chambers County Sheriff’s Office Covert Investigations Unit and Deputies, assisted by DPS, executed a search warrant in the 500 block of McDermott Street in Winnie, Texas.

June 14 at about 4 p.m., deputies with the JCSO Traffic Unit conducted a traffic stop on I-10 near Smith Road. The vehicle was being driven by 38-year-old Benina Villarreal of Rio Grande City, Texas. She had her 18-year-old daughter and her 9-year-old son as passengers.
