Sherecole Wilridge

Monday, Nov. 6, at about 8:26 a.m., Beaumont police responded to a disturbance in the 1200 block of Ranier. A preliminary investigation revealed that an altercation had occurred between Sherecole Wilridge, a 32-year-old Beaumont woman, and her child’s father. During the altercation, Wilridge retrieved a handgun and shot the victim. The victim’s injury was not life threatening; he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Detective’s interviewed witnesses and Wilridge was placed under arrested for aggravated assault – family violence.

Update Nov. 7, 1:30 p.m.: Port Arthur city officials have released the identities of a man who died and a man who was injured in an industrial incident at Free Flow Services in Port Arthur on Nov. 4.

Jefferson County Criminal District Attorney Bob Wortham announced that Terrence Holman, 49, of Beaumont was sentenced April 27 to a term of 25 years in the state penitentiary in connection with a 2015 aggravated robbery case of his own father.

Baby Faith’s father, Darrell Mason of Port Arthur

Darrell Mason of Port Arthur, the father of abused infant Faith Mason, received 25 years for injury to a child Feb. 29, after pleading guilty to the charge Jan. 15. Criminal District Court Judge John Stevens sentenced Mason to the maximum time allowed by a plea agreement the defendant made with prosecutors.

Less than a month after securing a conviction of the mother of the battered child known as Baby Faith, prosecutors Pat Knauth and Randi King were back in Criminal District Court in Beaumont preparing for the trial of Darrell Mason, who was 17 when his child by his cousin Christine Johnson was born.
