Last week’s rains have become this week’s floods and personnel with Entergy Texas, Inc. are hard at work to ensure evacuees and other Southeast Texans will have safe and reliable power as the event unfolds.

Beginning Monday, March 14, at noon, due to current effects of inclement weather the Stark Cultural Venues and Administration Office of the Nelda C. and H.J. Lutcher Stark Foundation will be closed until further notice.

The City of Pinehurst Police, Fire, Water and Street Departments are going door to door making contact with businesses and residents that they expect to be affected by rising flood waters, Police Chief Fred R. Hanauer III said in a news release Monday morning, March 14.

Effective immediately, Bigner Road between Roland Road and the Neches River will be closed to all traffic.

Texas and Oklahoma are feeling the devastating effects of weeks of heavy rain, tornadoes and flooding, and the American Red Cross is there, helping people in the Lone Star State get back on their feet.

The storms have impacted about 35 percent of the state, destroying or damaging thousands of homes. The Red Cross is providing shelter, food, water, relief supplies, health services and emotional support to people in need.

Drivers in Vidor braved water over roadways to get to their destinations Friday, July 18, 2014.

Water covered the service road near the Interstate 10 onramp leading westbound into downtown Vidor, but the road was being utilized by drivers, traveling at very low speeds, at 11:05 a.m.

According to the information in the release, the Beaumont Police Department reports flooding along Eastex Freeway frontage roads and underpasses. Many sections of MLK are also under water.
