Football championships head back to Arlington

All University Interscholastic League (UIL) football state championship games will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington for the next two years, including the 11-man and six-man football championship games. 

The new schedule places all 12 games in a four-day span, from Dec. 14-17.

West Orange-Stark senior football player Steven Tims will continue his education and play football for Blinn College in Brenham. Tims was named the Class 4A state championship game defensive MVP.

Ozen football coach resigns after 2 years

The Ozen Panther football program will look for a fourth new head coach in five seasons as David Suggs announced his resignation May 10 after two seasons. Suggs and the Panthers were 9-12 in two seasons with one playoff appearance, finishing the 2015 slate with a 5-5 record.
