Even though the weather is getting colder outside, it’s always a good time for some yogurt, no matter the season, because yogurt is good for you.

According to Erin Coleman, a registered and licensed dietitian and writer for Livestrong.com, there are several health benefits to eating yogurt, especially for women.

Yogurt contains high amounts of protein, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc and vitamin B-12.

“Women who eat yogurt regularly generally have a better overall diet quality than those who don’t consume yogurt,” Coleman writes.
