Rolling Stone magazine called Texas act the Drugstore Gypsies one of “10 New Country Acts You Need to Know.” Duke Ryan, Dillan Dostal, Korey Davis and Reynaldo Chapa bring their Southern honkytonk drawl to The Gig on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont on Friday, Aug. 11. Think Led Zeppelin meets Conway Twitty as a way to describe their sound.

Green Jellÿ (pronounced "green jello") is performing Friday, Feb. 24 at the Gig downtown on Crocket Street.

"It's a punk rock puppetshow is the way Bill refers to it," said Jerry Connor, lead guitarist.

The Boomtown Film and Music Festival is celebrating it’s 10th year in Beaumont. Feb. 23-26, 2017, experience a diverse lineup of independent films from local, national and international filmmakers, as well as independent musicians that cross all genres.

Thursday, Feb. 23

Music at The LogOn Cafe (3805 Calder Ave., Beaumont) from 8 to after 11 p.m. with have five acts, including local artist Rob Wellz and indie/folk rockers The Cover Letter from Austin.

Luke Pell

Known for his stint on ABC’s reality hit television show The Bachelorette, Texas native Luke Pell is also a striving country musician who will perform at The Gig on Crockett Street on Thursday, Dec. 22, with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets for this 18-and-older show are $15 and can be purchased online at outhousetickets.com. Pell, who is also a veteran and played football at Army, served 12 months in active combat in Afghanistan.

Tridon

Phoenix hard rock act Tridon will make a special appearance at The Gig in downtown Beaumont on Thursday, Oct. 20, with doors opening at 7 p.m. for ages 18 and older. Tridon is a polished, high-energy hard rock band whose members pride themselves on providing fans a fun and interactive atmosphere topped with hard hitting choruses and powerful vocal messages.

Chalkline Empire

Rock bands from the surrounding areas are coming together for a cause at Jam Fest Against Cancer on Saturday, Sept. 24, at The Gig in downtown Beaumont on Crockett Street. Tickets are $8, and all proceeds will benefit the Gift of Life Program. Doors open at 2 p.m.

The Gig on Crockett Street just recently announced that ’80s rockers Great White will perform on Friday, July 22, at 8 p.m. Tickets for this 18-and-older show are $20. There are two versions of the ’80s rock act Great White touring, and this one includes 55-year-old vocalist Jack Russell.

The Gig on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont will host Summer Jam III headlined by rockers Podunk, along with special guests Knuckle Deep, Peace and the Chaos, and Curse & The Cure on Friday, July 15. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are $15 for ages 18 and older.

The Gig on Crockett Street welcomes Scott Stapp, the voice of the rock band Creed, on Thursday, Aug. 4. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets for the 18-and-older show are $20 and can be purchased online at outhousetickets.com. Stapp, 42, has released two solo records and has had a few tracks hit the Billboard rock chart including “The Great Divide” and “Slow Suicide.” Creed disbanded in 2004 before returning for a few reunion tours that fizzled out by 2012.
