Humane Society of Southeast Texas

Hi, my name is Altuve! I was born in the foster program of HSSET during Hurricane Harvey when my mother had to have an emergency C-section due to the stress the storm had caused her. I am lucky to be alive! My foster family describes me as a lap-loving dog who enjoys cuddles and kisses. I have been raised around other dogs and cats of a variety of different ages and sizes. I am now at HSSET so that I can get more exposure and find my fur-ever family! If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption application and come visit me at HSSET today!

One was surrendered to the shelter when his family lost everything during Hurricane Harvey, but he has so much love to give! One is not your usual Labrador retriever; he is calm and gentle in nature. One prefers sitting at your feet and enjoying your company, rather than chasing ducks or swimming. Don’t get us wrong — he is an active pupper who does enjoy a nice lap around the pool, and enjoys playing with his canine and human friends! A truly incredible dog, One has a giant heart full of love that he is waiting to give to a family. Could that family be yours?

Stop clowning around and get down to the shelter to adopt Clarabelle! Clarabelle is a 1-year 8-month old Terrier mix. She was first adopted from the shelter when she was a little pup but recently her adopters brought her back. This was due to no fault of Clarabelle. She has a beautiful russet and brown coat with handsome white bib and socks. She is a small dog and ever so sweet!

Kristin Chenoweth

Stage and screen star Kristin Chenoweth was scheduled to perform at the Lutcher Theater in March, but with the Sabine River rising, the theater was forced to reschedule her date. She graciously agreed to reschedule for June 14, tweeting, “Keeping everyone down in Orange, TX in my prayers. @lutchertheater hope everyone stays safe with family and friends. See y’all soon!”

Odie is a 5-year-old dish found running the roads in Beaumont. His coat looks like a Dreamsicle with its beautiful markings. Odie is a talker and loves to have morning talks while you prepare his breakfast. He enjoys watching the birds out the window during the day. Not big on toys but litter box trained, we think he would be great in any home. He loves to sit in your lap and have his ears scratched. If you want a big handsome boy, go on down to the shelter before someone else snatches him up.

Crystalette is such a beauty! Her white coat shines like a diamond. She is the kind of dog that has to been queen of the castle. This little girl likes to run to keep her trim figure, so she will require a fully fenced yard and would do best in a home with no young children. With a Queen B attitude, she will be the dominate dog of the household. But that does not mean she doesn’t like play; she loves her two temporary brothers that reside in the same foster home.
