Update: Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash on Interstate 10, near Womack, in Orange County on Sunday, July 22.

The Texas Department of Transportation released a statement stating that due to construction to the Brush Island overpass, I-10 eastbound will be detoured to SH124 Tuesday, June 26, 9 p.m. - 5 a.m. I-10 westbound will be detoured to SH124 Wednesday, June 27, 9 p.m. - 5 a.m.

A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Orange County sent three to the hospital the morning of Monday, June 4. 

Initial reports from the Texas Department of Safety indicate that a Toyota passenger vehicle was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 followed by an Infinity SUV.  For an unknown reason, the driver of the Toyota struck a concrete barrier.  After striking the barrier, the vehicle traveled back into traffic and was struck by the Infinity.

A tire blowout caused an 18-wheeler wreck on Interstate 10 in Jefferson County Sunday, May 6.

A truck tractor semi-trailer was involved in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Orange County. According to a press release, The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene after the crash occurred near mile marker 860.

Two crash reconstructions will be conducted by The Texas Department of Public Safety on Interstate 10 in Jefferson County Thursday, April 12.

Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) reportedly discovered a kilo of cocaine during a traffic stop March 8.

According to Public Information Officer Deputy Marcus McLellan, Deputies Smith and Cardenas stopped a black SUV for a traffic violation on eastbound I-10 at FM 365 at 3:36 p.m. The male driver was identified by police as Sean Joseph and the female passenger was identified as Latoya Williams.

The state highway 87/16th street exit on Interstate 10 in Orange will close for one year due to a reconstruction project, according to Sarah Dupre of The Department of Public Safety. DPS encourages drivers to use the Business 90 exit and travel the frontage road.

John Bourgeois II, 30, of Port Neches, was transported to St. Elizabeth hospital March 4 after he crashed on Interstate 10 in a Chevrolet pickup truck.

At approximately 5 p.m. Saturday, March 3, a one-vehicle crash near mile marker 859 in Orange County shut down westbound Interstate 10 for about two hours.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), a Chevrolet Avalanche was traveling westbound on Interstate 10. For an unknown reason, the vehicle struck the inside concrete wall, traveled back across the westbound traffic lanes and struck the outside concrete wall. Upon impact, the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
