In celebration of Law Day, which is celebrated nationally each year on May 1, the Jefferson County Bar Association and the Jefferson County Young Lawyers' Association honored the achievements of local attorneys and friends of the profession, including Beaumont Police Department Chief Jimmy Singletary, who received the Liberty Bell Award during a ceremony at the Jefferson County Courthouse Jury Impaneling Room on May 5.
