Detectives from the Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force arrested three men and reportedly large amounts of ecstasy, liquid promethazine (also known as lean, syrup or sizzurp) and hydroponic marijuana at a residence in Port Neches following a complaint from a local citizen, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

The Jefferson County Narcotics Taskforce, with the assistance of the United States Postal Inspector, conducted an controlled delivery operation March 22 that uncovered a large quantity of mail order drugs and arrested a Port Neches woman during the sting, reports the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

According to JCSO, investigators identified a package they believed contained synthetic drugs that was to be delivered to a residence in Port Neches. Investigators tested the contents of the package, and they tested positive for the chemicals used in the synthetic drugs.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Beaumont man March 13 who is a suspect in multiple burglaries, and recovered 15 grams of methamphetamine during the subsequent investigation, reports Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Captain Crystal Holmes.

According to a news release from Holmes, at about 2:30 p.m., deputies stopped a black Mitsubishi matching the description of a vehicle involved in several Beaumont burglaries highlighted on Crimestoppers.
