Veterans who need legal advice or legal assistance can visit a free legal clinic on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Beaumont VA Outpatient Clinic, 3420 Veterans Circle, Beaumont, TX. The 2016 tax levy for all 28 jurisdictions is $515,431,410. There are 152,759 different accounts on the tax roll.

Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County has announced the dates for the 2016 Port Arthur Jingle Bell Run, presented by the Sea Rim Striders. The Jingle Bell Run will be held Dec. 3 at 8:30 a.m. at 1800 Lakeshore Drive. The Kids K starts at 8 a.m.

Registration is $25 for adults and $12 for kids. The special needs 1K is $10. However, prices will increase to $30 for adults and $15 for kids and special needs after midnight Nov. 13.

Discounts are available for members of the military and Sea Rim Striders.
