Justin Tyrone Young, 35, of Beaumont, was indicted Sept. 25, for the murder of Alexis Neal, a 22-year old Beaumont woman, in connection with a fatal collision at the intersection of Long and 11th streets on January 9, 2014, announced Criminal District Attorney Cory Crenshaw.

A 21-year-old Beaumont woman died as the result of a one-vehicle crash in Jefferson County, reports DPS Trooper Stephanie Davis. According to a news release, the one-vehicle crash occurred on FM 365 near Gilbert Road in Jefferson County at approximately 12:15 p.m. and killed Beaumont resident Heather Jones.

A Beaumont man was found guilty and sentenced to 50 years in prison Wednesday, July 23, 2014, for sexual assault of a child.

Criminal District Attorney Cory Crenshaw announced in a press release that Stevie Blaschke Hanke, 40, was found guilty and sentenced by Senior Criminal District Judge Larry Gist for the March 2, 2012, sexual assault of his nine-year-old stepdaughter.  The jury returned the verdict after less than 15 minutes of deliberation.

Criminal District Attorney Cory Crenshaw announced today that Port Arthur resident James Arceneaux, 53, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison by a Jefferson County jury.  The same jury convicted Arceneaux yesterday for sexually assaulting a six (6) year old child in his Port Arthur home, on or about June 29, 2013.  The trial was held in the Criminal District Court, Judge John Stevens Jr. presiding.
