June 5, the Lake Charles Police Department was dispatched to a local business regarding a male suspect performing a lewd act in the presence of a female juvenile victim.

The suspect was identified as 38-year old Jesus Garcia Lara from Houston. An arrest warrant for obscenity and indecent behavior with a juvenile was issued and signed by Judge Ron Ware.

June 23, the Lake Charles Police Department arrested Lara at his place of employment in Sulphur, Louisiana. He is being held on a $20,000 bond for indecent behavior with a juvenile and a $7,000 bond for obscenity.

UPDATE: Lake Charles Police learned that after the shooting, the suspect he fled the scene on foot with his cousin, Kevion Willis. Detectives learned that while attempting to escape, Kevion Willis approached a motorist and tried to take their vehicle by force.

On May 6th, during the early morning hours, a victim lost his wallet which contained credit cards. Shortly after losing his wallet, one of the victim’s credit cards was used at numerous locations in Lake Charles, Deputy Chief Mark Kraus said in a release.

Update:  On May 17 at about 11 a.m., Tiffany Wiggins was arrested in Lake Charles by the Lake Charles Police Department’s Sgt. Jeff Morgan without incident.

On May 7 at about 9:25 p.m. the Lake Charles Police Department was assigned to Cancun Mexican Restaurant, at 4001 Ryan Street, in reference to a burglary and theft, Deputy Chief Mark Kraus said in a release.
