What was first reported in a 911 call to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at 1:03pm on Feb. 2 as a missing two year old little girl turned tragic when her body was found in a large pond located about 200 yards from her grandparent’s home located on Hwy. 146 north in mid-Liberty County, Capt. Ken DeFoor said in a release.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking the public’s help in solving the 1995 murder of Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy Wilburn Junior “Will” Agy, who was shot and killed while acting in an official capacity, the department said in a release.

The Liberty County Sheriff's Office is searching for the person who shot and killed a pet pony, the department said in a release.

On April 10 at about 10:30 p.m., Liberty County Sheriff's Office deputies in the Criminal Interdiction Unit, the Liberty County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team, and the Liberty County District Attorney's Office Gang Unit executed a Narcotic Search Warrant at a residence located on County Road 2701 in Rye, Texas, Sheriff Bobby Rader said in a statement.
