Texas Country acts Eli Young Band and special guest Frankie Ballard will perform at the Texas Longhorn Club on Saturday, March 4, with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets for this 18-and-older show are $30. Eli Young Band is no stranger to the area, having played several shows and festivals in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana. The band formed in 2000 in Denton and is led by vocalist Mike Eli and guitarist James Young. Their song “Crazy Girl” won Song of the Year at the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards.

From Fort Worth, Franklin has released eight solo albums with his latest, Losing My Religion, which just won a Grammy for Best Gospel Album. Mad Maude & The Hatters will perform at the Neches Brewing Company on Saturday, Feb. 11, beginning at 8:30 p.m. The band will also be selling The Sweetheart Sessions on 10-inch vinyl for $10 at the show. The music was recorded in 2015 at Sweetheart Studios in Austin.
