McFaddin-Ward House

Eggnog Thursday at the McFaddin-Ward House

The McFaddin-Ward House is hosting an evening of holiday cheer Dec. 20 — “Eggnog Thursday.” Join the fun and get into the holiday spirit with this chance to see the historic home with halls bedecked with festive decorations in celebration of Christmas. Tasty treats and delicious eggnog will be served in the visitor’s center of the museum, and attendees can take advantage of a self-guided tour. The community is invited to attend from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Local museums get ready for Museum Day Live! participation

Four area museums are participating in Smithsonian Magazine’s program Museum Day Live! The W.H Stark House and the Stark Museum of Art in Orange, the Museum of the Gulf Coast in Port Arthur, and the McFaddin-Ward House in Beaumont are offering free admission for two on Saturday, Sept. 29, to anyone with a complimentary ticket from Smithsonian Magazine’s website.
