Chambers County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on FM 2041 in Anahuac in reference to two deceased individuals on Dec. 24. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Matthew Allen Kline, 28, and his wife, Dominique Schliske, 26, dead from gunshot wounds.

The initial investigation showed Schliske was in the master bedroom of their home and was likely shot in the head while asleep. Kline was discovered in the same room on the floor next to the bed with what detectives believe was a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head.

Six people are dead in two separate murder-suicides that occurred within days of each other, and a Galveston officer is sending heartfelt sympathy to victims’ friends and families left behind by the sudden acts of violence.

Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a rural residence in the city of Thrall at about 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 3. They discovered a woman, killed by a single gunshot wound, and a deceased male with an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators immediately suspected it was a murder-suicide.

On Jan. 8, at about 4:30 a.m., Galveston Police officers responded to a 911 call of a possible shots fired on the 8th floor of the San Luis Hotel, the department said in a release.

Police in Port Neches are investigating an apparent murder-suicide, reports Police Chief Paul Lemoine.

According to a news release from Lemoine, officers with the Port Neches Police Department responded to the Ridgewood Apartments at 699 Ridgewood Dr. in reference to a welfare concern at 12:10 p.m. on Oct. 22. A caller from Arkansas was trying to contact his father at that location for the past couple of days.
