Kevin Andrew Kamper, 29, was found guilty of two enhanced first-degree felonies of aggravated sexual assault of a child, Jefferson County Criminal District Attorney Bob Wortham said Friday, June 22, with the now-convicted child predator receiving a jury-instructed sentence in Judge Raquel West’s 252nd District Court totaling 50 years in prison with no parole.

Officers of the Nederland Police Department are currently investigating a possible homicide in the 8100 block of Beauxart Garden Road.

Wednesday, May 9, 1:30 a.m., Nederland Police Department patrol officers were dispatched to a residence in the 8000 block of Beauxart Garden Road in reference to two suspicions subjects that had activated a door bell alarm equipped with a video camera.

A wanted man was taken into custody by Nederland Police last week, the department said in a release.

Nederland Police caught up to the suspect in the Twin City Liquor store robbery and shooting Friday, Nov. 22. Police arrested Christopher Michael Hebert,33, of Groves, for Aggravated Robbery. 

Hebert is being charged with the November 16 robbery of Twin City Liquor located at 507 N. Hwy 347 in Nederland.
