March 24, at about 5 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) received a report that a train struck a semi on Old Nome Road in Jefferson County, Sgt. Stephanie Davis said in a release.
“Initial reports indicate that a 2016 Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling westbound on Highway 90 and turned onto Old Nome Road,” Davis said. “As the 18-wheeler crossed the railroad tracks, the fully loaded trailer became stuck on the tracks.”
