Orange Community Players’ circle of life has always revolved around its talented and committed volunteers like Julie McDaniel, who has volunteered with OCP for the last six years. McDaniel helps with props, paints the marquee to help advertise productions or as McDaniel says does “whatever they need,” which includes hairdos.

Your favorite songs, dance numbers, and scenes from popular, classic animated films will come to life on stage June 12-14 as Orange Community Players (OCP) presents its 10th annual Fun for Funds: An Animated Musical Review. Audience members can expect to see nearly 30 songs performed from Shrek, The Prince of Egypt, The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, Beauty and the Beast and more.

Before it hit the screen, it hit the stage, and now Les Misérables is coming to Southeast Texas. Orange Community Players presents the musical for eight performances: May 1-3, 8-10 at 7:37 p.m. and matinees on Sunday, May 4, and Sunday, May 11, at 2:37 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for stu­dents. Orange Community Players will close the 2012-13 season with “Nunsense A-Men” May 16-19. Times are 7:37 p.m. on May 16-18 and 2:37 p.m. on May 19. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students.
