Police in Orange arrested a convicted felon in possession of a firearm July 11, Officer Stephen Ward of the Orange Police Department reported Monday. Ward picked up Euraina Carol White, 46, of Orange, after allegedly finding a gun in her bag. The arrest marks her fourth in Orange since May 2014, and, in spite of her nickname, this frequent flyer of the Orange County Jail is no "Angel," according to police reports and a criminal database search.

Two Orange County teens were injured after being struck by a pickup truck on the evening of July 9, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Stephanie Davis.

The City of Pinehurst, along with Orange County Office of Emergency Management and Sheriff’s Office, City of Orange, City of Vidor, City of Rose City, City of Pine Forest, City of West Orange and City of Bridge City will be participating with other cities within the Southeast Texas Region (Hardin, Jefferson and Orange Counties) to conduct a live exercise of our regional Southeast Texas Alerting Network system (STAN), also known as Blackboard Connect. At approximately 12:15p.m. Wednesday, June 15, the Texas Department of Public Safety received a report of an 18-wheeler on fire in the eastbound traffic lanes of Interstate 10 in Orange County near mile marker 871. An International truck tractor semi-trailer towing live chickens experienced a tire blowout that sparked a fire.  At the time of the crash, the vehicle was transporting approximately 6,000 chickens.

About 2,000 chickens died in the fire.

Police arrested a man in Orange June 8 after he reportedly attempted to urinate on customers at a Valero station on 16th Street.

A fatal accident in Orange County June 8 claimed the life of a Jasper resident, Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper David Henry reported in a news release.

According to Henry, Orange County troopers responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on State Highway 62 at the intersection of North Ridge Drive at about 8:30 a.m. The preliminary crash investigation indicated a 2005 International truck was stopped and facing north on S.H. 62 waiting to turn left onto North Ridge Drive when it was struck from behind by a 2014 Dodge van, Henry stated.

A teenage passenger of a car involved in an accident in Orange County on June 6 is recovering from injuries after the 16-year-old driver of the pickup truck in which she was riding reportedly turned illegally in front of an 18-wheeler causing the big rig to strike the vehicle.

Police in Vidor arrested a man June 1 on 14 outstanding warrants from multiple jurisdictions after initially stopping him for a minor traffic violation, reports the Vidor Police Department.
