The Texas Department of Public Safety is lowering the speed limit on Highway 12 in Orange County.

According to a news release from DPS, the speed limit along SH 12 will be lowered from 75 mph to 65 mph beginning Monday, Aug. 3, "as a result of a recent speed study." Drivers are urged to drive cautiously and adjust their habits to reflect the change.
