The Orange Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for 17-year-old David Anthony Riggs, Jr. for the armed robbery of the Get-N-Go station at 2419 16th Street in Orange that occurred Wednesday, December 2, 2015.

On Friday, October 30, 2015, at approximately 9:12 p.m., Beaumont police officers attempted to stop a Chevy Impala after observing the driver throw several items from the vehicle while it was traveling in the 1400 block of Gulf Street. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and continued evading into Orange County.

Narcotics officers with the Orange Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Brandon Jolivette of Orange after discovering powder cocaine and hundreds in cash during an investigation, OPD reports.

Even after numerous public intoxication arrests of suspected phencyclidine users in Orange, the steadily rising trend of the deadly drug’s use within the city shows no signs of slowing. Police officers with the Orange Police Department made three arrests of suspected PCP users in two separate incidents over the course of two days, Oct. 23 and Oct. 24, according to incident reports.

A woman in Orange was arrested after a report of a domestic dispute at the Fox Run apartments. The woman reportedly claimed her boyfriend had beaten her, but officers soon discovered it was quite the opposite, according to a report from the Orange Police Department.

Police say they think they know who did it. They can’t identify the suspect legally, but they think they know. Orange County District Attorney John Kimbrough says, in time, science will prevail and the culprit will be caught, but for now there is nothing he can do without potentially endangering the viability of the case.

Recent incidents police believe are related to the use of the drug phencyclidine, or PCP, have resulted in multiple arrests in Orange over the span of a week, with suspects accused of public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. But an incident in Beaumont months ago that police say could be PCP-related resulted in the death of a man and his daughter.

In less than a week, officers of the Orange Police Depart­ment have discovered evidence of counterfeit bills being dis­tributed around the city in at least three separate incidents. Police reports indicate OPD received calls regarding coun­terfeit 10- and 20-dollar bills being passed at three locations from Dec. 13 through Dec. 16.
