Sunday, Oct. 15, around 2 a.m. Beaumont Police Officers along with Beaumont EMS responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of Fourth Street and Bowie involving a black Honda Civic and a motorcycle. The motorcycle rider, identified as Tyler Shane Lisenby, 20, from Orange, was dead at the scene.

The Beaumont Traffic Unit was called out to investigate the scene. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Fourth Street when the Honda Civic collided with the motorcycle, causing the rider to lose control.

Police believe a medical episode is responsible for a driver striking another car and dumpster before crashing onto to the football field at the West Orange-Cove Middle School during little league practice, reports Orange Police Department (OPD) Capt. W.K. Longlois.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash outside the DuPont plant in Orange County early Monday morning, Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Stephanie Davis said in a release.

Oct 9, at about 6:15 a.m., DPS responded to a multiple vehicle crash on FM 1006 in Orange County.

After hearing a loud crash, an Orange police officer discovered a suspected drunk driver had struck a pickup truck from behind, leaving debris in the roadway that caused damage to another vehicle, and then fought police attempting to draw his blood to test for alcohol.

According to Officer James Roy, he was patrolling in the 1900 block of North 16th Street at about midnight Oct. 1 when he heard the crash and then saw the wreck. He immediately responded and notified dispatch.

As of Monday, Sept. 25, the American Red Cross has invested more than $100 million in Texas alone in the aftermath of Tropical Storm/Hurricane Harvey, with roughly $12 million of those dollars going directly to aid residents of the Golden Triangle, according to Red Cross Regional Communications Manager Ekland Durousseau.

On Sept. 15 at about 1:45 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to a two vehicle crash on I-10 in Orange County. The crash occurred near the Texas-Louisiana state line.

Distributing food and water in three locations in the Golden Triangle, The Salvation Army served more than 1,800 families Tuesday, Sept. 5. This is in addition to the more than 5,000 meals served through its mobile kitchens working throughout the Golden Triangle.

With additional supplies scheduled to arrive Wednesday morning, a second day of distribution is scheduled for the afternoon. Starting at 1 p.m., The Salvation Army will provide boxes of food pre-packed to feed a family for several days, as well as cases of bottled water.

Police are investigating the homicide of a 74-year-old Orange resident who was found stabbed and mortally wounded at the Alexander Homes Apartments at 2049 Fourth St. on Aug. 18 at 8:22 p.m.

According to a news release from the Orange Police Department, officers responded to the apartment complex after dispatch received a call reporting a stabbing victim at the location. They arrived at the scene minutes after the initial call, at 8:26 p.m., and located the elderly resident with apparent stab wounds lying in the grass at the complex.
