An Orange woman accused of trying to stab her ex with a decorative candy cane was arrested on an Orange County warrant after police responded to a disturbance in the 1200 block of Palm Drive on Dec. 13, reports the Orange Police Department.

A disturbance at a residence in Orange led police there to arrest one man who was discovered to be in possession of what they believe to have been a cigarette dipped in phencyclidine (PCP), or "wet."

Police in Orange are searching for the two suspects who robbed a local convenience store at gunpoint Sunday night.

On Saturday, November 21, 2015, at approximately 8:35 p.m., officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched to 5725 N. Hwy 87, a Dollar General store, in reference to an aggravated robbery. According to Lieutenant G.D. Keaton, Jr., upon arrival, officers made contact with store employees. The suspect was described by the employees as a white male who entered the business, put on a mask, brandished a firearm and demanded money. The suspect obtained an undetermined amount of currency and fled the store.

Police in Orange discovered a large amount of methamphetamine, five firearms, including a stolen shotgun, and almost $2,000 in cash during a warrant search at a residence in the 3500 block of Pheasant Street in Pinehurst Nov. 17. After the resident of the home was arrested on multiple charges and bonded out, he was re-arrested along with two other men at the same location later that day.

Update: The West Orange-Stark High School coach reportedly driving the vehicle that claimed the lives of 25-year-old Ava Lewis and six-year-old daughter Lamya Newhouse, Carl Broussard, 53, of Vinton, resigned from his position at the school, reports WO-S representatives. The district accepted his resignation.
