According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the office has had reports of an older, heavyset, white male with a white beard who is driving a white van stopping children to tell them he has a sick puppy in the back of the van. The 2006 white van has a white rack on top with Ohio license plates. He has most recently been in the downtown Orange area on John Street and possibly the Mauriceville area.

Police in Orange arrested 34-year-old David Nehemiah Diaz for disorderly conduct on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, after Diaz reportedly shouted profanity and slung racial slurs at passersby and security personnel outside of a local grocery store.

Police in Orange arrested 39-year-old Jacque Demont Robinson for public intoxication on Dec. 19, his second time behind bars within a month having previously been arrested Nov. 25 for suspected possession of a controlled substance in the form of a "wet" cigarette - a cigarette dipped in PCP. This time, the responding officer reports Robinson seemed to be high on the drug again - blankly staring, removing clothing and reeking of "acetone," a chemical smell often associated with the toxic intoxicant PCP.

Burglars in Orange reportedly stole Christmas presents from two families during separate weekend incidents.

According to a police report from the Orange Police Department, officers responded to a residence in the 3400 block of Bowling lane at about 9:50 p.m. on Dec. 18 in reference to a break-in at the home. The female resident told police that when she returned home from being gone, she entered her home to discover several rooms of the house had been rifled through and various items were scattered about the domicile.
