From the heart … The Art Museum of Southeast Texas is hosting The Art of Giving Tuesday, July 24, from 5:30-7:30pm. The Art of Giving is an informational event with discussion by Beaumont attorneys Kate Eckhart and Anna Scheurich about planned giving and why leaving a legacy is important. There will also be a silent auction featuring fine artwork such as clay objects, prints and painting. Complimentary appetizers and open bar will be provided. You have to have heart … The American Heart Association hosted its annual Go Red for Women Luncheon recently at the Beaumont Event Centre. The luncheon raises funds for cardiovascular disease and stroke research, awareness and education. This year’s honoree was Pamela St. Amand of Legacy Community Health. Jill Grounds of Cardiac Consultants was the keynote speaker and spoke on the risks of cardiovascular disease for women.

The NRF Queen and her court … Queen Neches LXX Jordin Bourg, daughter of Vonnie and Eric Bourg and a senior at West Brook High Schol, was crowned queen Saturday evening, April 14, at the Julie Rogers Theatre in Beaumont.

Applause, applause … for our fabulous Betty Greenberg! The amazing lady who chaired and orchestrated so many fundraisers in this wonderful city was honored Friday evening, March 23, at the Betty Greenberg Performing Arts Center on her 90th b-day. Friends and family members enjoyed delightful bites, cocktails and conversation catch-up at the beginning of the evening.
