Patricia Adams Collins Lambert, the former Beaumont Independent School District Assistant Superintendent and Central High School principal who admitted to embezzling $500,000 from the school district and conspiring with others to cheat on state-mandated standardized tests, had one last shot to show a federal judge why she shouldn’t be sentenced to the maximum penalty allowed under a plea deal she arranged with prosecutors in December 2015.

Admitted embezzler and former Beaumont Independent School District assistant superintendent Patricia Adams Collins Lambert was sentenced to spend 40 months in prison and pay back $500,000 in restitution. The charges stemmed from theft from programs receiving federal funds and conspiracy to submit false statements concerning standardized test scores while she was employed with the local school district.

May 26, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas added another prosecutor to the sentencing case of former Beaumont Independent School District administrators Patricia Adams Collins Lambert and Victoria Steward. According to a filing at the court, Assistant United States Attorney Robert Wells of Tyler was added as co-counsel in the case.
