A Port Arthur man was assaulted with a club at Louis Manor Apartments on Tuesday, Nov. 15 around 10:50 p.m., Port Arthur Police reports.

Port Arthur Police officers responded to call from St. Mary's Hospital about an assault victim being treated in the emergency room. The victim, a 31 year old Port Arthur man, reported that he was assaulted by the suspect with a club at Louis Manor Apartments, 1300 Joe Louis Avenue.

During the assault, the victim sustained injuries which included a broken or fractured arm.


A Port Arthur resident suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his foot on Friday, Nov. 11.

Port Arthur Police officers were notified of a gunshot victim at St. Elizabeth's hospital at 1:48 p.m. Their investigation revealed that the Hispanic man's wound was self-inflicted. The injury was non life-threatening and the victim ultimately refused medical treatment and was released.

Port Arthur Police responded to a disturbance at Port Arthur Park Apartments on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 3:49 a.m.

Officers discovered a 39 year old black man who suffered a head injury from a baseball bat. He was transported to St. Elizabeth's hospital for treatment. The suspect was also located and arrested for aggravated assault and transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility for booking.


Police in Port Arthur are investigating a home invasion at an apartment complex that occurred early on Nov. 8, reports the Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD).


A suspect attempted to steal a bike at a gas station in Port Arthur but suffered head injuries.

Port Arthur police officers received a 911 call about an assault in progress at the CITGO station on 1200 Gulfway Drive on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 12:13 a.m. They discovered an injured man in the parking lot, who had attempted to steal the bicycle.


Top Gift Shop in Port Arthur was reportedly robbed on Nov. 3 at 5:15 p.m.

Port Arthur Police Department officers responded to a call from 1908 9th Avenue. The clerk told officers that three black males entered the store brandishing weapons and taking "an undetermined amount of cash," according to the statement.

No injuries were reported during the incident. Officers were unable to locate suspects.

A woman was shot in Port Arthur and brought to the Southeast Texas Medical Center for treatment on Monday, Oct. 31 at 5:51 p.m.

Port Arthur Police were dispatched to the SETX Medical Center for a shooting victim and spoke with the three subjects who brought the victim to the hospital. Their investigation revealed that the victim may have been shot by accident while in the vehicle.

The victim is currently listed in critical condition at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.


A suspect was arrested after an alleged home burglary in Port Arthur on Monday, Oct. 31 at 3:30 p.m.

Port Arthur police officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Neches Avenue. The victim gave officers a description of the suspect and the direction the suspect had fled. PAPD officers located the suspect and stolen property.


Port Arthur Police discovered a man with a gunshot wound when called out to the 600 block of Houston Ave. on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 1:43 a.m.

PAPD officers were dispatched “in reference to a shooting that just occurred,” according to the release.

The victim, a 39-year-old black male, was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for treatment.


A suspect involved in a stabbing in Port Arthur Sunday night is still at large.

Port Arthur Police responded to a report of a stabbing at Kansas and W. 13th Street on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 12:35 a.m.

Two victims, 23 and 25-year-old and Port Arthur residents, were assaulted and “identified the same suspect,” according to the report.
