The Port Neches Police Department (PNPD) frequently gets calls from citizens about whether or not operating golf carts on City streets is legal, the deparment posted on their Facebook page. The answer is "yes" but with restrictions, PNPD said.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) and Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas is requesting the public's help finding 31-year-old Christina Marie Pollard of Port Neches.

At 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, Port Neches Police reported they are currently searching for two gunmen in black masks who just robbed the Smoke Shop at 2nd Street and Magnolia. The two men were last seen running west in the 2100 block of 2nd Street toward Nederland. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
