probation

After sentencing former West Orange-Stark Assistant Coach Carl Broussard, 54, to 10 years probation Monday, May 15, for charges related to a fatal car accident that claimed the lives of a young mother and her 6-year-old daughter, Judge Buddie Hahn has now ordered Broussard to spend 180 days in the Orange County Jail up front.

Broussard pleaded guilty earlier this year to two counts of failure to stop and render aid after fatally striking 25-year-old Ava Nicole Lewis and her daughter Lamya Janise Newhouse with his vehicle on Nov. 2, 2015.
