Vidor police arrested one man for strong-arm robbery on June 1 after he allegedly assaulted a security officer attempting to prevent the suspect from shoplifting at Wal-Mart. A customer of the store assisted in detaining the suspect until police arrived.


Police are searching for Elizabeth Regina Carrier, a fugitive wanted for nine charges of felony theft with bonds totaling $175,000.

In a press release, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office described Carrier as a "serial felony shoplifter" and explained that she is suspected to be part of a shoplifting ring operating in the county.

Carrier, AKA "Regina," is 32 years old, weighs 160 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes and has a tattoo of a rose on the right side of her neck.


Vidor police are currently investigating an attempted shoplifting incident that happened Friday, July 12, at the Vidor Market Basket on Main Street at approximately 4:45 p.m.

Police say a Beaumont woman is in custody after she slashed a JC Penny's employee while attempting to flee the Parkdale Mall store with stolen property.

On Wednesday, April 10, at approximately 6:17 p.m., police responded to the store to find the woman already in custody, a BPD press release said.
