Sherecole Wilridge

Monday, Nov. 6, at about 8:26 a.m., Beaumont police responded to a disturbance in the 1200 block of Ranier. A preliminary investigation revealed that an altercation had occurred between Sherecole Wilridge, a 32-year-old Beaumont woman, and her child’s father. During the altercation, Wilridge retrieved a handgun and shot the victim. The victim’s injury was not life threatening; he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Detective’s interviewed witnesses and Wilridge was placed under arrested for aggravated assault – family violence.

This has been one of the warmest winters on record for Texas, and with all that sunshine comes bad news in the form of snakes.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015, Beaumont police officers responded to a disturbance in the vicinity of the Regent Apartments near Gulf Avenue. 

According to Officer Joe Ornelas, while officers attempted to handle the disturbance they were called out for, shots rang out nearby, prompting the officers to take cover. One officer was hit with what he believed to be a pellet, and was not injured.
