A Richmond, Texas man wanted on charges of continuous aggravated sexual assault died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after being stopped by officers at the Travel Inn at 2690 Interstate 10 East in Beaumont following a vehicular pursuit of the armed suspect, reports Beaumont Police Department (BPD) Sgt. On Saturday, November 21, 2015, at approximately 8:35 p.m., officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched to 5725 N. Hwy 87, a Dollar General store, in reference to an aggravated robbery. According to Lieutenant G.D. Keaton, Jr., upon arrival, officers made contact with store employees. The suspect was described by the employees as a white male who entered the business, put on a mask, brandished a firearm and demanded money. The suspect obtained an undetermined amount of currency and fled the store.

On November 10, 2015, at approximately 1:26 a.m., the Port Arthur Police Department responded to an aggravated robbery at BJ's Convenience Store at 1201 7th Street. 

According to a press release, a subject entered the store with a firearm and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled on foot. No one was injured during the incident.
